Online Markers and Pencils classes

 Hi everyone,

So I wanted to share with you something new I’m doing.

I recently signed up to Kit and Clowder’s online markers and pencils classes.

Alyce Keegan is the founder of this online company and is based in Brisbane, Australia. Because it’s online, that location doesn’t stop me joining 👌😊

My reason for this is :-

1) I want to improve my copic pens colouring of stamped images and digi stamps that I eventually use for my card making

2) all classes can be accessed online and the videos downloaded, at your convenience, which means you can access them over and over forever, once you’ve paid for it

3) it’s reasonably priced for what you get, I’m doing both the markers and pencils classes and you get a bonus class on top completely free of charge for being a part of her monthly subscription club

4) there is a great Facebook group where her members can share their projects

5) she frequently promotes other artists who in turn offer her members free digi stamps and other online discounts to their own online products

6) she offers a couple of freebie classes you can access before committing to her subscription club, which break down the fundamentals of colouring including light source, shadows, mid tones, skin and hair etc

I joined Alyce’s online monthly subscription markers and pencils plan in or around July 2020.  I have found her videos to be thorough, with helpful step by step instructions, breaking down everything you need to know to recreate something similar to what she is showing you in her videos.

Let me share with you a link to Kit and Clowder’s website where you can check out for yourself how fantastic her classes are.

If you are interested in trying out her freebie classes, I attach a link to the specific page of her website.  This is the first one I did to get me started.

So I’m now going to share with you some of the colouring/projects I have done to date.  Remembering I only joined in July 2020 and this post of my experience so far to date is for September 2020.

I think I’ve caught the Kit and Clowder bug as I‘ve also gone on to purchase a number of past classes to add to my stash.  You can access these if you are a monthly subscription member.

All of the above images were coloured with Copic markers.  I’m already seeing improvement in my colouring skills and I hope the lessons learnt and will learn along the way I can incorporate into my other colouring products.

You will need access to a reasonable printer that can cope with printing images and digi stamps on to a thicker card stock.  This is the paper I am using, I got off of Amazon, it’s great for copic markers.

For the pencils classes you will need to invest in some reasonable pencils and paper specific for drawing on ✍️ Again,I went onto Amazon and checked out the reviews before choosing a suitable set.  I have yet to tackle a pencils class but all of the above video classes are done with pencils as well as markers, so the option is there to go back and redo or have a go using the alternative medium, if you wish to have a try.

For the love of Gnomes

I was thrilled to see Stampingbella’s new gnome release back in June and I do have a soft spot for gnomes.  I was inspired to make a few cards, these ones were using “Gnome in a Tree” stamp set, which I wanted to share with you.  I hope these have inspired you to get creative.
